Drama Homework 4 | Mr.Harris

Talk about how the character of the FOREMAN would be performed according to his motivation and objectives.

The Forman’s motivation would be fear . He knows that if he didn’t get the work done in time he’d die. The Forman is the head of the building operation but still a builder himself . But because he’s the head and in charge it’s his fault if the wall isn’t build in time .  So he only wants to finish the wall to get paid and keep on breathings as if the wall isn’t ready in time he’s dead . I would portray the foreman as a person who moves a lot and rushing his men to working . As well as nervous and scared around his superiors . I would hope that the audience would think of him as a jumpy character never relaxing and always moving . Hopefully they would learn from the scene that he is worried , scared and anxious .

Drama Homework|Mr.Harris

In our piece we wanted our audience to think about how hard women’s lives became during the war and what they endured. We created a split-screen performance . One half was men going through war and life on the front lines and the other half was what the women were doing as the men were gone. Actions like scrubbing and carrying a baby allowed are audience to understand what was going on. There is a clear distinction between the portrayal of the men and women . The actions that represented the women looked easier and looked like manual work whilst the actions portrayed by the men were meant to be more gruesome and hard. Making our performance a split scene performance meant that you could see what is was like for two different people at the same time . It showed the audience the two different experiences that women and men went through during the war.

Everything slowed down I could hear my own heart beating in my chest . I saw his face staring at me , judging me I look at him shook my head and whispered “It’s all for you”. I jumped of the train and waded  through the mass amount of people. I head nothing , I was in my own world thinking about what I was about to do. I was there sweating , a little scared . He look at me , smirked “Let’s ,er get this over and done with ok boy. I looked at him plain “It’s too cold for this” he stated . I took out the parcel and gave it to him then he gave me the money . I checked if it was the right amount he was 50 short.”Where’s the rest ?” I said . “Look boy , I might have asked you for these party favours but that does not mean you can boss me around , Look your lucky I didn’t set you up , I’m a cop remember so run along.” I stood there taking the mask out my pocket and pulling it over my face . He was walking away now then stopped . “WHAT IS THIS!!!” he screamed their was sugar in the parcel . He tuned around angry but his expression turned to shock . There was a gun pointing right at him . “We can work this out , I’m sorry I have the fifty . I smirked behind the masked and said nothing . I squeezed the trigger as hard as I could . He dropped to floor clutching he’s leg and screaming . I rand over gloves , wrapped over my hands . I held his throat in my hands killing him slowly . He tried to search for a breath but struggled I saw the life drain from his eyes and whispered.

“For my brother , you piece of shit.”

I got up and walked away it was all over .
